AccessibleBC! Working Group

ANNOUNCEMENT PDF

Leaders in Boulder City want to be inclusive and welcoming to all residents and visitors. They are seeking volunteers to address accessibility issues. Help Boulder City achieve better than ADA compliance. Join AccessibleBC! A Working Group for better accessibility for all.

Members will develop recommendations to improve accessibility and useability of City-owned buildings, parks, projects and infrastructure, such as sidewalks. The work group will consider industry best practices, Federal, State and Local regulations, and most importantly, personal experiences, for inclusive accessibility.

We need volunteers who personally - or through a family member, close relation or their employment - live with a condition that affects daily activities, such as Post-traumatic stress disorder, hearing impairments, visual impairments, mobility disabilities (requiring use of a wheelchair, walker or cane) Autism, Cerebral Palsy, intellectual impairments, major depressive disorders, and/or traumatic brain injuries.

The deadline to apply ended on April 30, 2023.
