Parks and Recreation Staff is working hard to ensure safety during activities for kids and adults. The City’s parks and park bathrooms will remain open daily (times may vary). ALWAYS maintain social distancing and wash your hands (or children’s hands) while using the parks.
In response to the Governor’s Directive, the Statewide Pause and the planned closing of City facilities the EOC recommendation regarding Parks and Rec activities for the month of December is as follows:
All indoor parks and rec activities will be cancelled with the following exceptions:
Any indoor activity that can be moved outside may continue as scheduled.
December INDOOR classes ARE cancelled! Beginning December 1, all indoor classes are cancelled. Refunds will be offered as necessary. IF classes can be held outdoors (i.e. dog obedience) then the class can continue, but only outside.
This would include cancellation of Pickle ball, Racquetball and Wally ball beginning DEC 1. (pickle ball is OK outside).
Rentals – for now all park rentals, gazebos, and any facility use permits for December are cancelled and we are not taking any new reservations for the month of December.
