The Training Section functions under the deputy chief and the training captain to provide comprehensive training programs to the members of the department. These programs serve to maintain and upgrade the member’s skills to best suit the mission of the fire department. The training provided allows the department to provide Boulder City with excellent fire and rescue services.
Every member of the department trains in fire, emergency medical, and hazardous materials response topics, with the department as a whole averaging 21,000 man-hours of training.
