[ARCHIVED] 13 Arrested in Burglary/Stolen Property Ring Investigation

13 arrested - june 2020

BOULDER CITY - The Boulder City Police Department (BCPD) completed a month-long investigation into the burglary of a Boulder City home.  This investigation revealed that several Boulder City residents were involved in the burglary of a Boulder City residence on Cheyenne Court, as well as the destruction and sale of stolen property, including multiple firearms. In May, investigators identified Brian Reynolds and Robert Cristo as the main targets of this investigation, and determined they were responsible for distributing the stolen property to others to be sold or pawned.

On June 2, 2020, BCPD investigators executed multiple search warrants at motel rooms and residences throughout Boulder City. Investigators arrested a total of thirteen in connection with the original burglary. Police seized approximately twenty grams of methamphetamine and three grams of heroin. The warrants also led police to multiple items reported stolen, including jewelry.  Additionally, investigators were able to identify several members of a retail theft ring, operating mainly out of Las Vegas and Henderson. Officers recovered property believed to have been stolen during some of the retail thefts.

“The size and impact of this group is surprisingly large for a community our size, but our investigators spent a good deal of time working on leads to find as many conspirators as possible,” said Chief Tim Shea. “Interestingly, two of the suspects were identified after they appeared on City social media after surveillance cameras caught them stealing a credit card from an elderly resident.  Our community stands strong against these criminal enterprises.”

BCPD investigators continue to identify suspects from additional criminal activities and are working with investigators from the Henderson Police Department and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. While the main suspects were located in Boulder City, we continue to identify additional suspects from neighboring communities that may be involved in the retail theft ring. Those arrested during the investigation and their charges can be found here
