BOULDER CITY: Summer is here and so is the heat. With the excessive heat alert in the forecast tomorrow (7.9.2025), some residents may need a spot to cool off.

Two options are available in Boulder City:

  • LIBRARY: Escape the heat and check out what the Boulder City Library has to offer! Regular hours are Friday/Saturday/Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. The library opens an hour earlier, at 9 a.m., for senior browsing on Wednesdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day for an additional chance to beat the heat. (Address is 701 Adams Boulevard.)
  • SENIOR CENTER: Did you know that older adults can suffer from heat-related illness quicker than younger adults? And certain medications can accelerate those issues? Escape the heat at the Senior Center of Boulder City.  Visit us weekdays from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., closed weekends and holidays.  (Address is 813 Arizona Street.)
