MAY 30 UPDATE: The Communications Division worked with Public Works and Artist Lynne Jordan for the Dedication Ceremony on May 23, 2024, celebrating the new welcome sign on Nevada Way and Veterans Memorial Parkway. City of Boulder City commissioned the 900 lb. Eagle, built to honor more than 130 Boulder City High School Championships. Speakers included Mayor pro tem Sherri Jorgensen, Regional Representative Leonie Mowat of U.S. Senator for Nevada Jacky Rosen, BCHS Principal Amy Wagner, and the lead artist of the Eagle, Lynne Jordan. BOULDER CITY - The Boulder City High School / Welcome to Boulder City sign installation is moving forward!! Crews installed the 900 lb. Eagle by local artist Lynne Jordan in preparation for sign completion. The sign celebrating BCHS Championships is located at the southwest corner of Boulder City Parkway and Veterans Memorial Drive. There will be a dedication ceremony with the artist and her team as well as City leaders on May 23 at 9:00 a.m. at the site of the sign. Parking will be available on Veterans Memorial Drive.
