Building and Safety Division

The Building and Safety Division provides standards to safeguard life or limb, health, property and public welfare by regulating and controlling the design, construction, location and maintenance of all buildings and structures and certain specifically regulated equipment within the city.

Goals & Strategies

Goals and strategic issues include improving the efficiency and customer service through the following actions:

  • Reviewing projects in a timely manner
  • Reducing the backlog of pending projects
  • Improving inspection quality through continuing education
  • Adopting new building-related codes which are compatible with other local jurisdictions
  • Restructuring the Division’s document processing and storage

*UPDATE: The City of Boulder City is proposing to adopt the following codes, which will be considered by the City Council at their regularly scheduled council meeting on July 14, 2020 at 7:00 pm.
